Natural, Candid Wedding Photography
Wedding photography is documentary work. I’m looking for the moments that show what the day actually felt like - the venue coming together, parents arriving, finishing touches in the bridal suite, the groom’s reaction as you walk down the aisle, quiet looks during portraits, emotional speeches, and a packed dance floor. These moments happen quickly, and I’m always watching for them. That’s what natural, candid photography means to me. I can direct a crowd when needed, then step back when a moment needs space. The result is a gallery that captures both the big milestones and the smaller details so you can remember the day as it really happened.

After booking, we meet to walk through your wedding from a photographer’s perspective. I help plan the timeline around the coverage you selected - getting ready, first look, family photos, and golden-hour portraits - while keeping the ceremony and reception on schedule. Candid photography may feel effortless in the final gallery, but it’s planned so I can anticipate what’s coming next.
On the wedding day, I act as timekeeper, letting you know when we’re ahead or need to adjust, without adding stress. I also learn the names of your wedding party and immediate family so everyone feels known. I work alongside your family and vendors to keep the day moving smoothly while you stay present and enjoy it.
Rooted on Maui
As a Maui-based photographer I work exclusively on the island. I know the venues, the light patterns, and the logistics that keep a day running smoothly - whether you’re local or traveling in. Maui’s conditions can change quickly, and I understand how different properties feel, where the best light develops, and what’s realistically possible within your timeline. If you want to leave your venue for golden-hour beach portraits, I can help coordinate the necessary permits and insurance so everything is handled ahead of time.
Coverage That Fits Your Day
Wedding coverage depends on what matters most to you. Four hours works well for a simpler celebration - finishing touches, ceremony, family and wedding-party photos, sunset portraits, and the start of the reception. Six or eight hours give more room for getting-ready details, first looks, and a longer portion of the reception. Ten hours offers complete, unhurried coverage from getting ready through the dance floor and grand exit. I keep the options simple.
Depending on the collection, coverage may include a second photographer and a one-hour engagement session (with hair and makeup). That session can also be used after the wedding or saved for another time. Having planned my own DIY wedding, I know how important clear information is. Pricing is easy to find, and I respond quickly so you can decide with confidence.
