Wedding photography is much like documentary work. I am looking for the moments that show what your wedding actually felt like: the venue coming together, your parents arriving, music filling the bridal suite, and the finishing touches as you pick up your bouquet or slip into a perfectly fitted jacket. I watch for nervous anticipation during the ceremony, the groom’s reaction as the bride walks down the aisle, the quiet looks exchanged during portraits, and everything that unfolds once the reception begins, from emotional speeches to a packed dance floor. These moments happen quickly, and I am always watching and ready for them.
That is what natural and candid wedding photography means to me. I love the energy of large weddings and know how to speak up and direct a crowd when needed, then slip quietly into the background when a moment needs room to breathe. After booking, we meet to walk through your wedding from a photographer’s perspective. With more than a decade of experience working alongside Maui coordinators, I understand how wedding timelines flow and can help you plan around the photography coverage you selected. We account for the details, getting ready, the first look, family photographs, and golden-hour portraits while keeping the ceremony and reception on schedule.
Candid wedding photography may feel effortless in the final gallery, but it is thoughtfully planned so I can anticipate what is coming next. On the wedding day, I become the timekeeper. I will let you know when we are ahead, when we need to pick up the pace, and how to adjust when plans change, without passing that stress on to you. I also learn the names of your wedding party and immediate family so everyone feels known and welcome. In the spirit of aloha, I work alongside your family and vendors to keep the day moving smoothly while you remain present and enjoy it.

As a Maui-based wedding photographer, I focus exclusively on weddings here on the island. I believe the best wedding experience comes from working with Maui-based vendors who understand the island, know one another, and are accustomed to working together. Whether you live here or are traveling to Maui for your wedding, you are welcomed like ʻohana and supported by a vendor team that treats your celebration as more than another event.
Maui’s conditions can change quickly. Passing rain, afternoon wind near the ocean, and shifting light can all affect the plan. I have photographed weddings throughout the island and understand how these properties feel, where the best light develops, and what is realistically possible within your timeline. If you want to leave your venue for golden-hour beach portraits, I can also help coordinate the necessary permit and insurance requirements so everything is handled before the wedding day.
Coverage That Fits Your Day
Wedding coverage depends on what matters most to you. Four hours can be enough for a simple celebration, covering the finishing touches, ceremony, family and wedding-party photographs, sunset portraits, and the beginning of the reception. Six or eight hours provide more room for getting-ready details, gifts, first looks, and a longer portion of the reception. Ten hours offers complete, unhurried coverage for couples who want the full story, from getting ready through a packed dance floor and grand exit.
I offer several options because every wedding is different, but I keep the choices simple. Depending on the collection, your coverage may also include a second photographer and a one-hour engagement session with hair and makeup. That session can instead be used after the wedding or saved for another meaningful time if you have already taken engagement photographs.
