After more than a decade photographing on Maui, I know how to work with the island’s conditions so your day stays on track. I focus on the real connections and in-between moments, stepping in with direction only when you need it.
My approach is creative documentary with natural direction. The goal is photographs that still feel like the place, the people, and the day you actually lived—true-to-life color, soft tones, and the real energy of the celebration.
Once your contract and retainer are in, we’ll meet in person or over Zoom so I can get to know you and what matters most. From there we plan the details—timeline, family groups, location, light, or wardrobe—so the photography feels thoughtful without ever feeling staged.
I grew up around large Hispanic and Filipino family gatherings where celebrations were routine. That background still shapes how I photograph where I pay attention to the people, the energy, and the small interactions that make a day feel real.
My approach is creative documentary with natural direction. I work digitally but draw inspiration from film: soft pastel tones, true-to-life color, movement, grain, and occasional hard flash. I’m not interested in muting Maui. Your photographs should still feel like the place, the people, and the day you actually lived.
After your wedding or session, I hand-select the photographs that best tell the full story. I deliver generously because the details, the people around you, and the quieter moments matter just as much as the big ones.
Your gallery should feel complete, not like a handful of highlights.Retouching stays intentional and natural. I clean up distractions and remove background elements when needed, but I never fundamentally change the people in the photos. If there’s something specific you’d like adjusted, I’m always open to that conversation. The final images should still feel like you.

01. WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Once you inquire, I’ll confirm availability, answer any questions, and send over your proposal with coverage and pricing. Your date is officially reserved once the contract is signed and the non-refundable 25% retainer is submitted.
After booking, we’ll meet in person or over Zoom to get to know each other, talk through your vision, and build a photography plan around your day.
02. WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH ON THE WEDDING DAY?
My approach is creative documentary with natural direction when you need it. I’m always watching for the candid moments, reactions, and connections happening around you, but I’ll confidently step in when it’s time for portraits, family groups, or a little guidance.
The goal is for photography to fit into your wedding, not take it over.
03. HOW DO YOU HANDLE FAMILY PHOTOS?
We plan them before the wedding. During our meeting, we’ll go through the family groupings that matter to you so we’re not figuring everything out on the spot.
On the wedding day, I’ll take the lead organizing everyone efficiently so you get the photographs that matter without spending forever standing in one place.
04. HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE, AND WHEN?
I don’t work toward a strict image count. I photograph and deliver the moments that help tell the complete story of your coverage. As a general reference, a six-hour wedding often delivers around 600+ edited images, while portrait sessions typically deliver approximately 70–100 images per hour.
Wedding galleries are delivered within five weeks through a private online gallery where you can download, share, favorite, and order prints.
05. DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Yes. Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for us to work together before the wedding and for you to become comfortable in front of the camera without the pressure of a wedding timeline.
They’re also a chance to create something different from the wedding day, whether that means the beach, mountains, or somewhere meaningful to the two of you.
06. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER CHANGES?
Maui weather can shift quickly. I’m used to working with changing light, wind, and passing rain. If conditions make a session unsafe, we’ll communicate and decide the next step together. For weddings I coordinate with your planner and vendor team as needed.
