Micro wedding, major dreaminess.

Jennifer and Rekzar started planning their wedding early 2019 and bookended the year with a beautiful

engagement photoshoot. Everything seemed to be going well and according to plan. The couple had selected a popular Maui venue, The Olowalu House in Lahaina, to get married at in the next year, but no one could have anticipated what was to come in 2020. The big, family celebrated wedding they had envisioned turned into a romantic micro wedding that couples dream about. Kristin, from Ophilove, was the wedding coordinator who helped make that happen.

Capturing what matters most.

Normally when I cover weddings at The Olowalu House, it's packed full of vendors, family members and the bridal party. On this day, it felt like an exclusive beach resort that the bride and groom enjoyed all to themselves. COVID-19 had restricted the couple's ability to surround themselves with their extended family and friends. Family is important and I can't imagine having to decide who gets to come to the venue and who has to watch the wedding from home. It's times like these when you realize the importance of photo/video services. These are moments you can never truly recreate, but we're lucky to relive them through the captured photos and video from the day. Congratulations Rekzar & Jennifer!
